We are working hard to connect local ingredients with local chefs to provide nourishing school meals for our community. By providing fresh, nutrient dense and seasonal foods, these programs encourage healthy eating habits. By working with local farmers and chefs we are building strong community connections, supporting our local economy and building a resilient local food supply chain.

Over 2025, Local Food Matters worked with various local players to produce a Local Food Production Assessment, helping to guide our work as an organization and our recommendations to the Town of Golden’s Official Community Plan. Read the report and our summary here!
